Protect your furniture from direct sunlight. Wood can change color when it's exposed to the sun over a period of time Wood expands and contracts with fluctuations in humidity. Humidifiers and air conditions will minimize these natural changes. Never place furniture directly in front of radiators or other drying heat sources. To keep your furniture looking its best, dust periodically with clean, slightly moistened cloth. Always rub with the wood grain. Vacuum upholstered furniture routinely. Wipe spills with a soft cloth dampened with water. Or use a mild non-alkaline soap solution; then use clear water to wipe clean. Dry with a soft, clean cloth. Do not allow solvents, alcohol nail polish and polish removers to come into contact with furniture. Avoid oily polishes or waxes; over time they will create a film which collects dust. Clean brass hardware with a soft cloth, and if necessary, a mild, non-alkaline soap solution. Never use harsh abrasives; they may damage the protective coating.
